Poppeliefie is an Afrikaans word. It combines doll and love. My little girl inspired this painting. She is my love, my heart. My little darling who is becoming a young lady. Every day I look at her and I am amazed. She inspires me and make me young. Her unique blend of gentleness and daring is an example for me. It's an absolute privilege to be her mom.

I love to play around with colors and shapes. The image is there, but obscured. You must search for form and pattern. My art is not obvious – just like life.

We must search in the chaos surrounding us to find the meaning in our lives.
